In the meadow at work (school) & I've failed miserably! Sprawling habit, amongst Black Medic, grass & white clover, mainly, with tiny yellow pea-type flowers singly, sort of in pairs, & larger spikey pods than one would expect from such a tiny flower. Distinct black markings on leaves.
Not intending to feed it to Achillea....!
Any ideas?
Heather
Any idea what this trefoil is please?
Re: Any idea what this trefoil is please?
Me again with another photo which better shows the hooky / spikey seed pods, & that the flowers (like tiny pea flowers) are individual (if fuzzy!)

Wow - thanks Lin - I have never even heard that name before, or knowingly seen it, & I do normally recognise plants, even if I can't pin them down.
Presumably the leaf colour is variable, as mine has very distinct colouration, & one of your photos is plain green.

Yes, all the same Heather, other names include Spotted Medic, Spotted Burclover and just Burclover.
