Re: More plant identifications plesse
So sorry that it has taken us so long to reply to your latest message (yesterday was a bit hectic and I somehow missed it when I got I got in last night).
Your first two photos are of Purple Deadnettle, which is edible and here is our entry for it:

The other photo is of a very dangerous plant called Ragwort. It is highly toxic and you must dig it up and dispose of it (although best not to burn it). It is also recommended to wear gloves when digging, and while pulling up one plant with your bare hands is probably not going to hurt you, if you pull up a lot, or if some of the sap touches skin where it is broken, you could feel some effects. And do be on the alert for other, baby plants of Ragwort and dig them up as soon as you see them, as it can spread quickly. Here is our entry for it:

As you can see, the leaves vary, depending on the species of Ragwort, but the last photo in the group shows a plant with largish silvery leaves like yours.

Re: More plant identifications plesse
Dear Nina, what would we do without your advice! Thank you so much, I will carefully remove and dispose of the ragwort. I 've seen it growing wild and recognise it when it has flowers on but would not have realised they were the same plant.
Good news on the dead-nettle, i'll encourage that one.
Best wishes and thanks again
