Can someone recommend me a topsoil brand that isn't full of rubbish and is tortoise safe please.
Kind regards Dan.

Re: Topsoil
Hi Dan,
I've always used wickes sterilized top soil but have had to sieve through it to remove bits of plastic etc. Not aware of any others I'm afraid.

Re: Topsoil
I've used Wickes (which is usually good), as well as Homebase and several others. At some point or other i've found bits of plastic or glass in the topsoil, but not a huge amount. I think the problem is that although these topsoils are put through a screening process to eliminate the rubbish, some tiny bits can get through, and we just need to be vigilant and try to pick out any bits we see.

Re: Topsoil
Hello. Is it good idea to order such material via internet? There can be some prooblems?
Re: Topsoil
Hi,
If we're talking about topsoil, it is all pre-bagged up by the manufacturer, and as long as you know the brand is good I don't think there should be a problem. The only downside I can think of when ordering over the internet (I assume we are talking about ordering from Homebase, Wicke's or garden centres), is that there will probably be a delivery charge. What sort of problems were you thinking of?
