Thank you so much, Lin. I think she's a survivor, strong and curious. I am setting her up out of the incubator tomorrow. She's eating and drinking, which is great to see.
Half term too, so I get to adore her all week.

Re: My dream come true!
Ah thank you Nina! I am over the moon!
Please come and see us; I don't work on Fridays now so if you have a free Friday it would be great to see you!
I have kept the other eggs in the incubator...that would be amazing, but very unlikely.
I feel so blessed x

My dream come true!
HiAll, I just wanted to share a few photos of Baby Jesse! Hatched 18.10.18 , weighing 13g. I've waited so long for this moment! The other eggs from the same batch don't look viable when candled, so she is a real survivor. Mama Bessie and Dad Clem did a great job! https://photos.app.goo.gl/uM826px83M...

Re: 90 year old tortoise
Hi,
Great photos! Yes, Bessie was very careful and the eggs were huge, but nothing came of them and the first lot were of course very calcified.
I will have a look for pics. I'm so hot I can't really function!!

Re: 90 year old tortoise
Hi Lin and Nina, Thanks for your responses! It is as I thought-feed well, bathe and leave shell alone. She is doing brilliantly-marching around, dragging her leg (I think this is a palsy linked with eye removal as same side)and yes, she does feed herself but it is hard to watch her chomping into mid...

90 year old tortoise
Hi, (hello Nina!) I have been gifted a 90 year old spur thigh female, named Henley. She has had a pretty tough life it seems, including a dog attack (very mangled shell), the removal of an eye after maggots were found after a garden hibernation and a fruit-filled diet. When she came to me( initially...
