Tortoises from N.America

Upload pictures of your tortoises that originate from the North America in this forum and tell us a little about them. Examples include Gopherus, Desert, Texas and Bolson tortoise. Also, do add pictures of North American tortoises that you have seen in the wild.

Here you go Lin...I think you've all seen these before..Box Turtles both moved safely off the road Taylorsville Kentucky two years ago if I recall right...take a very close look at the one in my hands...what do you see

Oh dear, the poor little one in your hand! Was he partially run over on the road? They are such an attractive species -- really pretty shell patterns and sweet heads.

Absolutely fine Bex,this was an old injury probably a road strike..very common to find Box Turtles on the roads in the summertime just after it's rained

So glad they cope with trauma :) so upsetting when human mistakes cause them harm
