Plant ID Please
Re: Plant ID Please
They’re in my garden and spread like mad.
Re: Plant ID Please
I'm a bit stumped by these, and will ask Lin to have a look when she gets back later. The first photo looks to me like it might be young seedlings from a tree. Is there a tree nearby with leaves a bit similar to those? The second one -- I think I can see two different plants there, but not absolutely sure what the main one is. I think I'm having brain fog today! We'll get back to you later on these (sorry!)

Re: Plant ID Please
I have just answered this and then lost the post
Is that really a caterpillar eating the main leaf in the 2nd photo. It would be best to let this grow a bit further for us to id it properly, and I agree with Nina on the tree seedlings, perhaps Ash but can’t be sure till it gets a little taller.
Sorry can’t be of more help right now.

Re: Plant ID Please
I think the leaf has curled, but it looks like a caterpillar. They’re definitely not ash seedlings. I’ll wait and see what happens. I’ve been transferring some plants into Herbella’s enclosure but will have to be patient with these 2. The lighter coloured on looks familiar, but I can’t ID it.
Re: Plant ID Please
I think the second photo is blue common sow thistle.
Re: Plant ID Please
You could well be right, but I'd still like to see a photo when it is bigger, as the first leaves of many plants are often very different from the more mature leaves it develops later on. I did see this photo of young blue sowthistle leaves, though, and they look similar to yours:
