Hi Kirsty,

It's good that you are checking on plants before you feed them!

Your first photo -- the large leaf that is beginning to brown and die -- could be a couple of things. It's possible that it is one of the dandelion family, which can be fed, or it could be a primula/primrose/cowslip that shouldn't be fed. Are there any other leaves, or were there any flowers on it that you can remember? The flowers of the primula/primrose etc. would be gone by now and the leaves might well be dying back. Here are links to the Primula and Cowslip entries -- unfortunately they mostly show flowers, but you can see leaves in a couple of the photos:

The second photo is one of the dandelions and is perfectly fine to feed.

The third photo (the little round leaves with serrated edges, looks like the low-growing Campanula to me. Are there any flowers (small purple flowers) on it? Here is our entry for it: https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/pla ... OgDxkzTWNI

Hi Kirsty.
I would just like to ask if you could check out these plants that I think could be the ones in your photos.
Dock is a no feed and Wood Avens can only be offered sparingly.

Thanks Nina/Lin

The 3rd one has no flowers, so think Lin may be right in thinking wood avens. I have a Campanula in the garden and it does look different.

So difficult! Not that green fingered so most look similar to me 😂
