Plant ID please

Use this forum for identification of plants and flowers found in the UK. To allow us to help provide accurate identification we need clear pictures of the whole plant, where it is growing and close up pictures of flowers, buds or seed heads if any available. It would also be useful to see pictures showing the leaf attached to the stem.

I'm so sorry that I missed this post of yours on 10th May! For some reason we haven't been notified of all new posts -- just some of them, and it's driving us crazy -- so I sat down today and looked at all the posts on the forum and have found quite a few that I hadn't seen before.

Your plant looks like one of the Willowherbs (maybe Rosebay Willowherb). Here are the two entries we have for them -- does yours resemble either of these:

They have fairly distinctive pink flowers and seed heads that are long and thin.
