We are now sponsoring tortoises in two UK zoos

The Tortoise Table has been selling a record number of our booklets to tortoise keepers around the world, and as a result we find ourselves with some profit from booklet sales in our bank account. At a time when zoos across the UK have suffered a huge loss of income as a result of the lockdown (but still incur the same running costs), we decided to use some of that profit to support tortoises at two zoos.

We are pleased to announce that we have now adopted tortoises at Chester Zoo and sponsored Elongated tortoises (Indotestudo elongata) at Linton Zoo in Cambridgeshire. We hope that our friends will agree this is a good cause.

We've just received our certificate, and we are sponsoring Tho, an elongated tortoise (they are endangered in the wild), and we're really pleased! The money will be used not only for the upkeep of Tho, but to help train assistants to look after tortoises at the Zoo. They already used our website for dietary information, and we've sent them complimentary copies of our three booklets as well.

Sorry I've only just seen these posts, what a super idea. Our zoo's need all the help they can get.
Thank you Team Tortoise Table!
