Forum Protocol

Post by Helen » 15 Mar 2017, 12:28

We hope that this forum will be a friendly place where people can ask and answer questions, share experiences and photos, and chat about subjects related to tortoises. In the spirit of friendliness, we ask all users to:

1. Be polite and courteous to other users -- particularly those with whom you disagree. There are probably as many theories about how to properly keep tortoises as there are tortoises in captivity. If you disagree with someone's views, please state your views politely and give reasons/cite evidence for your theories.

We aim to encourage postings by people of all ages and levels of experience. The person you are responding to might be a child with their first tortoise, so don't frighten them off!  Also, the person with whom you disagree might have unwittingly been given inappropriate advice by someone who they considered to be an expert, so try to persuade them rather than bludgeon them with your views.  Offensive posts will be removed.

2. Make your posting relevant to the particular section in which you are writing. In order to get the best answer to your question, or the audience most interested in your views, try and choose the most appropriate forum for your post.
