Skin problem

Hi. My 4 year old Herman has a bit of trying to climb up the side of his table and in doing so he is rubbing away the top layer of skin on his legs, the hind in particular. This is leaving pale patches of soft skin which although not looking infected I am concerned it could lead to problems. Any advice on how to stop him trying to climb the walls or what I can do about his skin would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Neville mum.
Would you like to send in a photo showing the places that are worn and how she is doing it. It will help us to maybe find an answer.

I have attached a photo of the skin problem. I think part of the problem is that Neville likes to wade about in his water dish to make it a mud bath and then when he rears up against the side if his table the gritty layer on his legs rubs the top layer of skin away. I have started limiting the amount of time he has a water dish and taking it out as soon as he has made it muddy. Thank you for your help.
