Hi all, I've just bought Boris a temporary outdoor enclosure to use for this year as my friend is too busy with work commitments to build my ideal enclosure for him and my DIY skills are non existent.
I'm looking for a tortoise safe wood preserver as although it is a temporary enclosure, I would like it to last through the summer without the inevitable rain getting into the wood. The only one I have found that actually says 100% pet safe is this ...
Has anyone used this or can you recommend another?
Many thanks
Lottie
Tortoise safe wood preserver.
Re: Tortoise safe wood preserver.
Hi Lottie.
I can’t see any reason it wouldn’t be ok to use on a tortoise enclosure. It is water based and providing it is left to throughly dry and any smells have dispersed it should be fine.
Tortoises are not known to bite at the wood anyway so IMO it will be safe.
