Re: Tortoise wound healing
Hmm, nasty.
To me it looks like there is still infection present and maybe the reason for removing the scab is to allow drainage but if that was the case then surely you should be using something with future vet visits.
Elaine will have more answers as she is far more experienced than I am.

Re: Tortoise wound healing
It would be good if you could post another photo of this scab so that we can see it again and refresh our memories. I feel in might be another trip to your vet (is it one that specalises in reptiles, especially tortoises). A photo could also be posted to the TT for expert advice to offer your vet on...

Re: Indoor enclosure
IMO no. If part of a combi bulb goes then you loose it all but with the strip it only needs replacing every so often. To solve your dilema though Bex...you could have a small structure made out of wood that looks like an upside sown 'U' or a goalpost frame and fit it over your table and hang a strip...

Re: Plant ID please
I find it easiest to put a photo onto your desktop and then drag the photo from the desktop and drop it into the same box you type into. See if that helps any. Lin Thank you, I'm just on my way out so will have a look at the resizing info later. I've tried to take the photographs following your guid...

Re: Indoor enclosure 2
If you send in some pics (larger size) Bex, I can pass them round to the team and let you know what species it is if we know. The photos need to be of the plastron, including legs and feet. The side view, the top view, one from the back looking un and under the shell at the meat between the tail and...

Re: Saying Hi
Bex has found an ingenious way to resize her photos. She sends them to me and when she gets them back they are small enough to go on the forum. Way to go Bex. Well thought out. Lin Hehe  I've put it under indoor enclosures, will put Tiny's home on there 2moro (expect a pic Lin  )

Re: Indoor enclosure
Its looking wonderful for him Bex. This is just a suggestion but if he were mine I would add some dried grass in a corner so that he can eat as and when he likes. Grass is the best thing a sulcata can eat and if its constantly available 24/7 he will get used to it making it easier to feed him during...

Plant Questions and IDs
It is estimated that there are just under half a million plant species in the world, and more are discovered each year. Many of these species resemble each other at various stages in their lives. Therefore, if you have a plant that needs identification, consider the following: A. Have yo...
