Hi Asecca
You photo's show what I believe to be a Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo) but I haven't had time to review it yet and it wont be until tomorrow now because it is late and I am off to bed.
Hopefully Nina will pick up on this in the morning and get back to you.

Re: Growing near my home
Hi May.
The top one with the yellow flowers does look like one of the Coreopsis to me but wait and see if Nina can confirm. The other one is Nasturtium and that one is fine in moderation.
Hope thats ok.

Re: How much food?
Hiya. Food is determine more by weight than the amount to give. We usually say to weigh a tortoise regularly and log the weight he is gaining or loosing. if its too much either way then we would adjust accordingly so that they only put on a few grams a month. If you look under the Care menu at the w...

Re: lighting for Greek spur-thighed tortoise
Hi Zaffy.
I have to admit that although the graph is much clearer I still cant understand exactly what it is saying. However what you need to know is that the 12 to 14 inches height is fine and so long as the temps are correct under the lamp and the cooler end he will be great.

Hi Zaffy. Nina has gon out for the day so I have stepped in. Hope you don't mind. The UVA is fine and the mercury vapor bulb you have is also good. As its only 80W it should only be about 12" to 14" high I think but we will double check that and get back to you. Would you be able to send i...

Re: A Couple of Plant IDs please.
Hiya.
The plant unknows 1 - is speedwell is okay fed only sparingly because it is quite high in tannins.
Plant unknown 2 - is Buttercup and not a feed.
The plant you thought is Boston Fern is not. To me it looks like one of the Euphoria and is toxic so stear clear of this one.

IMO - If the soil is darker only around the back end and not all over then it will have to be for a reason and because of that I would get her up rather than leave things to chance.
