Re: Pickle's Upcycled Idyll
How lovely. What a great transformation Nikki. I did something similar for an adult tortoise I rehomed many years ago. She came compete with her home, a 3' vivarium with glass fronts. That had been her home from hatchling to young adulthood. Her viv redesigned by me, was quite basic and not as elabo...

First photo plant on left looks a lot like Ragwort to me, so a clearer shot would help with this one.

Horsfield tortoises share the nest
You wouldn't believe the space these tortoises have and they both decide to lay their eggs in the same nest. The one on the left is a first timer, so perhaps she is in learning mode. Excuse my thumb in the corner of the picture.

Re: 100w or 160w Mercury vapour bulb
100 would be more than sufficient for that size table. A 160 is more suitable to a much greater area for example, in a shed where there is a larger area to heat up.

Turtles Jade Emperor Pagoda Saigon
The Jade Emperor Pagoda is an important shrine in Saigon which I was lucky enough to visit last month. Its other name is the Tortoise Pagoda and outside is a pond full of turtles. People bring them here as they are thought to bring good fortune. The pond is teeming with them and the water is murky. ...
