Wall Lettuce has leaves that are sometimes mistaken for those of Sowthistle, but it has a more open habit, and its yellow flowers have only five petals, each with a slightly ragged end, and they are borne on thin wiry stems.
It is a suitable addition to the tortoise diet and will readily seed itself in your garden if some flowers are allowed to remain on the plant.
