Creeping Zinnia (Mexican Creeping Zinnia, Sanvitalia)

 Feed in Moderation
  • Common Name: Creeping Zinnia (Mexican Creeping Zinnia, Sanvitalia)
  • Latin Name: Sanvitalia spp.
  • Family Name: Asteraceae/Compositae
There is no evidence that this plant is toxic, so it will be safe to feed providing it is only a small part of a varied diet.  Although the flowers are usually yellow, the Creeping Zinnia can now be found in shades of orange as well.  Do not confuse with the more common garden Zinnia, which is a different plant.
