There has not been much research done on the edibility of this plant, but it is known that some species within this genus may contain toxic unsaturated pyrrolizidine alkaloids, especially senecionine, so in the absence of more specific evidence the TTT recommends that you should not offer this plant to your tortoise or plant it within the tortoise enclosure.
