Coriander (Cilantro)

 Feed in Moderation
  • Common Name: Coriander (Cilantro)
  • Latin Name: Coriandrum sativum
  • Family Name: Umbelliferae/Apiaceae

This herb can be a useful addition to a tortoise's diet.  It does, however, contain some oxalic acid (which binds with calcium and prevents the body from absorbing it), so as with all plants it should be fed as only one part of a larger, varied diet.

Although flowers are primarily white, they are sometimes flushed with pink.
