Aeoniums are fine as tortoise food in moderation, but like all succulents they can have a laxative effect if overfed. Also, some Aeoniums contain fairly high levels of calcium oxalates, so it would be wise to feed as only a small part of a varied diet.
Flowers are usually yellow but can also be found in white, pink and red.
