Thyme (Common Thyme, Garden Thyme)

Although the essential oils of Thyme when refined down and eaten in large quantities can be toxic, the plant itself, if fed as part of a wider, varied diet should be fine.  Because of the strong scent of the leaves, many tortoises will find Thyme unpalatable, and so it can make a useful addition to the tortoise enclosure, as it is less likely to be eaten to the ground.
