Hollyhock

 Safe to Feed
  • Common Name: Hollyhock
  • Latin Name: Alcea rosea
  • Family Name: Malvaceae
Tortoises especially love the flowers of Hollyhock, and if the plant isn't protected in the tortoise enclosure it will be eaten to the ground.  It is fine to feed the flowers and leaves as part of a wider, varied diet.  The flowers can be found in a wide range of pinks, reds, yellows, oranges, white and even one that is almost black.
