All users of the website whether they have accepted or rejected cookies will have a PHP Session cookie stored, this is an essential cookie and necessary for the working of the site. 

When cookies have been accepted or rejected a cookie called allowcookie will be saved that saves your choice. This cookie is also essential for the working of the website.

Users who have accepted cookies will also find another cookie saved which is for statistical purposes and is called trflow.

From Google 
If you accept cookies a number of cookies will be saved by Google. Some of these are for Google Analytics which we use to monitor our website use. Others saved by Google are for the translation widget at the bottom of every page. When cookies are rejected the translation widget will not show. Most browsers however now have in-built translation systems which you will be able to use to translate our pages.

If you click on the map an overlay of the full map will display and two cookies will be saved by nbnatlas.org. If you have rejected cookies then clicking on the map will take you to the appropriate NBN Atlas page in another window and no cookies will be saved by nbnatlas.org from this website.
