More Help Needed Please

Use this forum for identification of plants and flowers found in the UK. To allow us to help provide accurate identification we need clear pictures of the whole plant, where it is growing and close up pictures of flowers, buds or seed heads if any available. It would also be useful to see pictures showing the leaf attached to the stem.

More Help Needed Please

Post by Lordy » 10 Mar 2020, 10:10

I have seen many of these when dog-walking in Essex during the last week or so. I have looked at the database and think maybe Creeping Jenny or Marsh Marigold but any help would be much appreciated.

Hiya.
This is called Lesser Celandine and sadly because it’s plentiful it is not edible :) .

No worries.
Have you tried the search by flower colours. I often use that and find it easier.

Thanks Lin - I will try searching that way next time. I am expecting plenty more opportunities as we move into Spring.
