Please can you help with identifying the plant/weed that will not go
Good Afternoon, I am hoping that someone can help me I.d this pesky broad leaf invader, I've looked everywhere but to no avail, please see the screen shot.
Re: Please can you help with identifying the plant/weed that will not go
It's really hard to tell with a photo of one leaf, looking straight down on it, as there are quite a few plants that look a bit like that. Are the undersides of the leaf white? If so then it is probably Coltsfoot and here is our entry for it:

Or it could be Winter Heliotrope:
https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/pla ... UBKN3t7m9s (but that is less likely).
Are there any flowers, flower buds or seed heads? Could you take a photo from the side?
Sorry not to be able to ID it straight away, but other photos or more info would help.

Hi Robert
I'm afraid I have to agree with Nina in saying we need a better photo. Is this leaf laying flat? Can to take another photo of it with the grass flattened around the leaf. Is this just a single leaf or are there more coming from the ground?
So sorry for all the questions but I think this could be one of the edible plants so dont dig them up yet.

Hello,ha ha questions are fine, im asking for help, attached are some more pictures, in between down poors, im sorry but i cant 100% recall seeing/not seeing flowers, the edge of the leaf if serated a bit like a nettle, its in big patches near to the ground, the previous owners of my house, used to breed rabbits so I suppose it could be edible..
