I would like a closer photo of how this plant grows please. The leaves and if there are spines on the back. Also if you can ger a snap of the flower buds that would be a great help.
Thanks and look forward to receiving them.

Lin

Really good photos and thanks very much! I think Lin will probably know for sure what this is, but I'm going to hazard a guess and say that it is either Wild Chicory or Blue Sowthistle.
You can check the photos in our entries for these here:
https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/pla ... yykkSAnaM8
and here
https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/pla ... yykuiAnaM8
but also check out other sites that might have more photos and descriptions like this:
http://wildflowerfinder.org.uk/Flowers/ ... nBlue).htm
and this
http://wildflowerfinder.org.uk/Flowers/ ... hicory.htm

Blue Sowthistle grow taller (up to 2 metres) and yours looks tall, but Wild Chicory has flowers that bloom close to the stem, which it looks like yours might do.

Does yours resemble either of those?

Thanks for the update on the photos. I would say exactly the same as Nina as it goes. Either way you have a feeder but freely or moderation is the key. Ot looks like the flower buds of Chickory but the leaves and stems look like Blue Sow thistle.
There isnt two photos there of different plants, is there? because the buds on that first photo you sent look a lot like the blue sow.

Anyway, I see Nina has given you the relevent links so happy feeding.
