Is this one of the hawk bit/ beard ones?

Use this forum for identification of plants and flowers found in the UK. To allow us to help provide accurate identification we need clear pictures of the whole plant, where it is growing and close up pictures of flowers, buds or seed heads if any available. It would also be useful to see pictures showing the leaf attached to the stem.

Is this one of the hawk bit/ beard ones?

Hello
Is this one of the hawk ones? The leaves are massive on it and I've only seen the smaller leaves before.
Thank you

Hi Stevie,

Yes, it does look like one of the Hawkbits to me (they have more hairy leaves than the Hawkbeards do). It's also possible that it is Cat's Ear (which also has hairy leaves), but the way the leaves are coming out of the ground makes me think that it isn't Cat's Ear. In any case, both plants have green traffic lights and can be fed freely.

Ah brill, thank you. The leaves are pretty big on these so they will go far! Thanks again 🤗
