Hello, Lin and Nina! Hope you are doing well! :)

I'm curious about a member of the Malvaceae family, Callirhoe involucrata (purple poppy mallow), which is native here in Michigan. The USDA Plants database has a handful of Callirhoe species in the U.S.: https://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=CALLI3 Would this be a safe plant for torts? Thanks! :D

Hi Mekie -- great to hear from you. I've had a little look, and I can't find anything to indicate that Callirhoe involucrata is not safe, so I think it will be fine to plant in Stevie's enclosure. It's a nice looking plant, and always good to have native plants in your garden.

Cheers,
Nina
