This is the diet my 2 girls have this last them a week maybe more it's all chopped up in the bits just so they can't pick bits out, 1 of my girls ivy may not eat for 2 days or so is this normal, I only ever give just enough to eat for 20 minutes or so, 🐢🍀🌱

I can't see everything in it, but I certainly see some good things and it looks like a tasty mixture, so well done! Yes, it can be normal especially at this time of year for them to go off their food a bit. The best way to see if they are eating enough is to keep a record of their growth, so if you weigh them, say, twice a month you are aiming for them to gain on average 1g - 3g per month (some months they will gain more and some less -- this is just a rough average), and if you weigh them just after a wee or poo it's amazing how much weight they lose just doing that!

Both of them were brought up on crap diets so I think it's been an adjustment for them both mossy the Hermann's is a piggy she will eat anything now but, ivy the horsefield is the not so piggy, aslong as it's normal I'm happy they poo pee fine they come out for a run most days round the bungalow and a nice warm bath 2-3 times week, I've also got them having the powder in the food now if I chop it up so it's all juicy it hides the taste of it, 😁🌱🍀🌵🌿🌺🌸🐢

Oh you are doing so well - this pair really landed on their feet in finding your home to live in.

Thank you they are great little things, so interesting and are rather amusing 😆 I've not had tortoises before but i thought can't be much harder than an iguana, or 13 snakes, once you have it set up they are a dream to own, 🐢❤️

I agree, once you get the initial husbandry and their housing needs they practically care for themselves in a funny sort of way. We just need to feel, clean and watch them and their antics.

Sorry to come in late on this, but I'm so glad that you are enjoying them, and that they are thriving under your care!
I can't remember -- how did your adaptation of the vivs go? You've done so much work to give these torts a good home.

I have a couple more things to do I need to get new light bulbs for them, my thermostat has broken but I've had that for years don't think the wires liked all the moving round, it looks unfinished at the moment, I made it so they had loads to look at, the other Viv is the same but not finished yet, I have removed the glass made the edges higher, they actually really love it their seem happy I just can't wait to build their outside runs in the spring 😊😊😊 I do get them out for a run round 2-3 times week,
