Hi Starsks,

Great to hear from you and yes, it's absolutely normal, and isn't really dry skin. Tortoises shed their skin as they grow, just like snakes do, but whereas snakes shed their skin all in one piece, tortoises shed it in bits and pieces -- and it's always especially noticable around the neck. Don't be tempted to put anything on it or pull it off -- the bits will just naturally fall off in time. It sounds like they are doing really well!

Cheers,
Nina

:D :D Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Mine look really shabby and unkempt when their skin is being shed -- poor little things!

Hi
Sorry to bother you again
Lately our hatchlings are more interested in eating us than food ? We once day feed a leaf by hand just to get them used to it , they clamber over each other to try and bites our fingers stretching their necks to the full and even trying to stand on hind legs , they are not hungry and we always wash our hands ?
I hope they are not going to be aggressive
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Starsks
