Re: Plant id if possible please

Hi Debz. I would say it does look very similar to Watermint but the mints are so difficult to diferentiate from each other. What does it smell like if you scrunch a leaf between your finger and thumb, is it minty?

I would see how they go Bex. The more room and hiding places available for them will give then a good chance of escape and to sort their differences, so to speak.
Yes, send in photos for sexing and we will do our best.

Hi Kanda. I have only just seen your message and Nina has given you very good advice that we can look into and will help is to help you and your adorable little tortoise but what I did notice is that you say her cage is 60 x 30 x 40 cm and she is in there with her friends. It seems very small for on...

Re: Please can you help with identifying the plant/weed that will not go

Hi Robert I'm afraid I have to agree with Nina in saying we need a better photo. Is this leaf laying flat? Can to take another photo of it with the grass flattened around the leaf. Is this just a single leaf or are there more coming from the ground? So sorry for all the questions but I think this co...

Have you tried going back to basics?
Finely chopping the plantain and adding it to the wet baby gem so he gets some of each?

Re: Enchanters Nightshade /Circeae

Hiya. Thanks for contacting us about the Enchanter's Nightshade. It is not one of the nightshades as we know them it is in fact from the same family as Willowherbs and Evening Primrose. I does not appear to have any toxic principles but has a rather strong peppery taste so tortoises might not like i...

Re: Boy or girl?

Hmm. At 1 no vet would be able to even guess what sex a tortoise was, it would have to have been hatched at specific temps for male or female hatchlings and even that is not guaranteed. Best to wait and make sure, as I said even mine is a guess and there is still time for change -

Re: Boy or girl?

Tortoises are not easy to sex unless they flash or are in the older category where we can be 100%. But this one does look like a young male to me right now, but there is room to change -
