Very interesting Elaine...does UV pass thru all that algae ?..Musks aren't known for basking unlike sliders and spend most of the time on the bottom but a basking area should still be provided,as this picture shows they do bask...I've a cracking picture of a map Turtle that is so cover in algae it l...

This little one Nina lives in the coke tub along with three other female razorbacks,she came to use with a little funny story,we traveled all the way down to Portsmouth to buy a Turtle tank for a build I was doing for a pal of mine ( the Jack Daniels tank ) that was listed on preloved..we got there ...

Very interesting Helen,all the Turtles in picture 2 are Red ear sliders (Trachemys scripta elegans) probably the most common Turtle in the pet trade worldwide.

Absolutely fine Bex,this was an old injury probably a road strike..very common to find Box Turtles on the roads in the summertime just after it's rained

Here you go Lin...I think you've all seen these before..Box Turtles both moved safely off the road Taylorsville Kentucky two years ago if I recall right...take a very close look at the one in my hands...what do you see

Tortoise Tables don't have to square
As the title says...they don't have to be square,the joy of an L shape is you get a very good hot/ cool spot,plus they fit great into corners..old picture of the first one I built before we had to separate them..both have L shape tables now

This one was built for people with hard standing/ no drainage back yards...as you can see wire grill was first placed in the bottom of the set-up them hardcore was used for drainage,final layer of top soil / sand mix added..I'll dig out the pictures of the security grill I made for this one..simple ...
