Re: rocko's hibernation weight loss

Hi Linda - I have absolutely no expertise, but I'm surprised that no one else has replied...so I'm replying to ping it to the top of the list again. I hope Rocko is OK.

Knapweed!....... ? I have a field full of something that looks wildly similar.

Re: When keepers get it completely wrong...

Hi again on this thread - lovely ponds, to which I aspire! However, are they in this country (GB) & if so - are the turtles gathered up to indoors over winter?

Re: Will!

Absolutely nothing, so far - & as someone with way too many dependants - scaled, shelled & furry - & none too young, this is something I really need to address before I fall off my perch!!

Thanks for the prod - a very important subject, as Laura says......

Re: Beak Trimming

She is fed on a stone hearth, but that doesn't seem to have helped. I don't think it's a big problem...yet! I understand what you sa...

Re: Ragwort

Hi - regards ragwort - as a horse owner this is something that has been of interest to me for most of my 60 odd years!! In general, horse won't eat ragwort growing in their fields, except maybe if they are starving, as there is something in the growing plant that deters them. The danger to horses is...

Re: Newly Hatched Horsfield Tortoise

:o

Wow....absolutely WOW!!! I had no idea, &, to be honest, had never thought about how a hard-shelled beastie fitted in an egg!

Thank you so much for this insight, Bex.

Again...WOW....

Re: When keepers get it completely wrong...

Sorry to be thick - what is MBD? (in words - I can see it clearly in action!). I realise it will probably be blindingly obvious when you tell me.
