Re: American burnweed
Thank you so much and that helps tremendously. Being in Florida I am very fortunate to have several gopher tortoises on my property. I will let my little ones have a taste and see how it goes.

American burnweed
Hey everyone. I couldn't locate anything on the plant search and also searched the forum. Is Erechtites Hierachifolius or American burnweed a safe feed? I can't seem to find anything good or bad. Thank you.

Couple of quick questions
Hey everyone. I have 2 questions that are hopefully easy. The first one is can my girls eat all parts of the spiderwort plants? I've read the entry fully but no mention of it. Second I have a section in my yard with some very tall and very wide bladed grass and I was wondering if I could feed it to ...

Just a quick update regarding smilax. I gave both of my girls a few of the smaller leaves and they thoroughly enjoyed them with no I'll effects. I give them both a few a week now as part of a varied diet.

Re: Grassland Weed ID please
A little late I know but if it hasn't been identified yet. It definitely has the ragweed look to it but it also bears resemblance to common tansy.

Re: Opuntia Prickly Pear
Sorry for such a delayed response work has been incredibly busy. My family lives in street, yeovil, just outside London, and Wales. I'm fortunate and have cutleaf primrose growing all over my yard and I always spread seeds around so they will keep producing. My girls tried hibiscus for the first tim...

I would love to take the pictures for you! I took 2 small pieces of cactus pad and removed what I could see and feel but I know that I missed a few. Neither one was concerned about them though they loved it.

Re: Smilax
Thank you so much for your response. I was actually wanting to feed them the top 6-8 inches and stay completely away from the leaves and definitely not the roots. The top part for comparison is similar to asparagus. It is delicious to eat. I'm still relatively new to tortoises at least keeping them....

Smilax

Thank you both so very much for your responses! I absolutely love England and being able to visit my family that lives there on my father's side. I'll try the pads tomorrow. Opuntia Prickly Pear
Hello everyone. At my home in Florida I have several prickly pear cactus plants. I would like to introduce it as part of my marginated and my sulcatas diet. I know the pads should be a little smaller than the palm of my hand and that the spikes should be removed. My question is do I need to remove t...

Substrate for my Marginated?
I'm hoping that this question hasn't been asked a million time but I need some help. I've heard several different answers on what to use. I am leaning towards a mixture of topsoil and play sand. My girl absolutely hates the coconut and the cypress mulch. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Thank yo...
