Re: Meeting the family

When I put my hatchlings on the grass to take the photo. Which I've never done before with any hatchlings. I noticed they wanted to tuck right into the grass. I was shocked! Although I know my older Iberas like to graze on the lawn, which is why I left them some in their enclosure. I was wondering i...

Meeting the family

Thought I'd take the opportunity to take a picture of the hatchlings with the older tortoises in the sunshine ☀️
This picture was just for the purpose of a family photo, then I put them back in their enclosure.

Re: Hi and enclosure plant advice

The pictures don't look clear, but if you click on them they look better.
I have a red valerian plant that was near by so I'm wondering if it's young ones of that. Do they seed? Or do you divide the plant?
I could take better pictures tomorrow for you. :D

Re: Hi and enclosure plant advice

This is inside my hatchlings enclosures. I know I have sow thistle, ice plant and some grasses growing. BUT what's all those little oval leaved plants growing! I'm scratching my head to know what's in there! Hence I don't want to put the hatchlings on their until I know. So thought I'd ask to see if...

Re: Microchipping for tortoise petition

I've signed it too. :D I thought it was over 50mm but even so, 60mm is much too small to chip. I've got eggs cooking at the moment and I'll be growing mine on and chipping them when I think it's safe to do so. So I won't be able to incubate every year due to space, but their health and welfare is mu...

Hi Nina, thanks for your detailed reply, much appreciated. Enclosure isn't massive, so I'll have to cut them back or dig them up and swap and change over time.
