Jacob's Ladder (Jacobs Ladder, Greek Valerian)

 Feed in Moderation
  • Common Name: Jacob's Ladder (Jacobs Ladder, Greek Valerian)
  • Latin Name: Polemonium spp. esp. Polemonium caeruleum
  • Family Name: Polemoniaceae
We can find no evidence of toxicity with Jacob's Ladder but we also can find no reference of it being tested within the tortoise's diet, so we think it best if this plant is fed in moderation only, until more evidence becomes available.  Several plants have the nickname of Jacob's Ladder so be sure that you have identified your plant correctly before feeding it.

Although this plant is commonly grown as a hardy perennial in the garden, it can also be found growing in the wild.
