Hedge Mustard (English Watercress, Common Hedgemustard, Oriental Mustard)

 Feed in Moderation
  • Common Name: Hedge Mustard (English Watercress, Common Hedgemustard, Oriental Mustard)
  • Latin Name: Sisymbrium officinale
  • Family Name: Brassicaceae
Like all members of the Brassica family, this should be fed in moderation as it contains goitrogens which can interfere with the thyroid if eaten in excess.  This plant is distinguished by the small clusters of tiny yellow flowers at the end of long branching stems.

Do not confuse with Watercress, which is a different plant.
